“With this collection we wanted to create contemporary objects which could still remain beautiful during the course of the years and fashion at the same time. Today more than before the activewear trend is recognisable in our shoes and it’s wisely mixed with feminine details and models”. This is what Silvia Curzi the Vic Matié’s Art Director said during the presentation of the 2015 Spring/Summer collection.
The collection is composed of unique pieces with a futuristic look and simple lines; it is conceived for a modern woman which loves to make a difference. It features square toes, rubber soles, optical uppers and metallic buckles. As for colors, tones are mainly neutral, cold but intimate, with a touch of blue, green and red giving a sense of summer to the collection. The way they mix natural precious leather such as nabuk, calf, python and hand aged leather with futuristic elements is extraordinary and the steel heel shoe is the example.
Common feature of the Vic Matié collections is the modern metallic heel. It is an hand curved and hand applied heel which represents the brand’s distinctive feature. The result of the steel heel shoes is absolutely lovely; combined with simple lines and natural materials it gives that touch of femininity to those women who wear them. You can find the steel heel both in the high and in the low version but with two different shapes. The 11 cm tall high one in fact has a curved shape that creates a “line” starting from the heel counter, while the 7,5 cm low one has an angular construction. Anyway you can better appreciate their shapes in profile.
